14 Indian nationals have been kidnapped by gunmen in Ajaokuta LGA of Kogi state.
Two Indians, two law enforcement officials and two drivers had been killed through the assault carried out on Friday August 5, round 9pm.
Kogi police spokesperson, William Ovye-Aya mentioned the expatriates had been being escorted by the policemen to the ceramic firm within the night when the gunmen attacked them.
Ovye-Aya mentioned the Area Commander and a detachment of army within the space needed to be bolstered on the scene of the incident earlier than the attackers fled.
Kogi Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Egbuka who visited the scene for an on-the-spot evaluation, ordered the deployment of extra operational property consisting of Operatives of the Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorism Unit, Quick Response Unit, and State Intelligence Bureau in synergy with different safety companies to revive normalcy within the space.
