Abductors of Nasarawa Commissioner contact household, demand N100m ransom

The abductors of the Nasarawa state Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Yakubu Lawal, have contacted his household and demanded N100 million as ransom earlier than he will likely be launched from captivity.

 

The kidnappers invaded Lawal’s dwelling in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state on Monday night time, August 15 at about 8:45pm and kidnapped him.

 

The abductors contacted his household at about 4.30pm on Tuesday, August 16, and mentioned the one manner they would launch the commissioner is that if the sum of N100 million is paid as ransom.

 

The state police has since confirmed Lawal’s abduction and said that efforts are being made to rescue him unharmed.
